Peter Lazarov

Traditional Woodengraver

A name synonymous with craftsmanship and tradition,  Peter Lazarov has spent over four decades perfecting the art of wood engraving, ex libris, and fine press book illustration.
Born in 1958 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and trained in printmaking at the University of Veliko Tarnovo, Peter has taught and exhibited across the globe — from Japan and China to the UK, Netherlands, and USA.
He is a former member of the Society of Wood Engravers (UK), a member of the International Academic Printmaking Association, and has led residencies and workshops worldwide — including at Tama Art University, Guanlan Print Base, and HEMA Education China.
His work is part of prestigious collections such as: Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, Ashmolean Museum Oxford, Library of Congress, V&A London, Yale University, and many others.
Awarded internationally for excellence in printmaking, including first prizes at Largo Gallery, Amateras Paper Art Exhibition, and Huangjueping Art Exhibition.
